FN Israeli Mauser front sight hood?

I have an early Fabrique Nationale Israeli Mauser, one made for the IDF and sporting the IDF crest on the receiver top. It's been re-chambered for the 7.62 round (with 7.62 is etched on the receiver top and the bottom of the butt stock). It's missing the front sight hood. Will the typical K-98 Mauser hood fit this rifle's front sight? Thanks for your help.

  Yes, they are standard Wehrmacht rifles.
