Artillery Luger Snail Drum
Brother has a later model 32 round snail drum for his artillery luger. The drum no longer functions correctly. He needs instructions on how to disassemble and inspect for problems, or locate a pistolsmith skilled in luger and luger snail drum repair. Thanks

The drums are pretty simple to disassemble. In Jan Still's IMPERIAL LUGERS there are extensive diagrams of a later Bing mode with the folding lever vice the extended tube of the early model. As you may have guessed, spare parts are notexistent. Note that to load any more than fourteen cartridges, you will need a snaildrum loader which cost as much as the drum itself. 0 -
A fellow who could likely help him out is Tom Heller AKA Lugerdoc. His address is P.O. Box 398, St. Charles MO 63302. Phone #636-447-3006. He did some work for me on a Walther P38, very good work, fast and price was very reasonable. Good luck
