AR-15 lower parts kit
I was so smart. After obama's re-election, I knew that there would be a run on black guns, so I bought an AR lower. Smart huh?
Well... Not so smart. In my ignorance, I failed to understand that there would be a run on lower parts kits also. Now I am having trouble finding a quality parts kit.
Does anyone know where I can find a quality AR-15 lower parts kit at a reasonable price? ty

Hi guys.
How do you know if you have a "large pin" or "small pin" lower receiver? My lower is mil-spec. I want to buy a parts kit for it.0 -
Usually, unless it is a very early COLT PRE-BAN, they are small pin. What make is your reciever? When was it made? If you have caliper's, measure an existing pin or the hole...small pin is 0.154", and the large pin is 0.170".

It is Palmetto State Armory, mil-spec, brand new production. I pick it up from FFL tomorrow. I have no calipers. 0 -
New mil spec production, probably small pin.
Use the shank of a 5/32 drill as a gauge, if you have one. Won't go into a small diameter hole receiver. Will be loose and sloppy in a large hole receiver.0 -

Thanks again guys. Will go with the small pin lower kit. 0
