slugging bores

how does one slug a bore? Should I have my gunsmith do it for me?

Soft lead ball slightly oversized driven down the tube by a dowel is the easy way. If its a 5 grove you need to used a v block to measure.

Many ways I've heard mentioned here.

I've heard egg sinkers & the product that you melt and pour into barrel(can't remember name).

They had some good threads on them & I can't find them[?]

Cerrosafe is the casting material. It melts at a low temp, and is easy to pull out of chambers and barrels when properly done.
