Winchester front sight

I have a '57 mod. 94 and my front sight (ramp & sight)came off--where it attaches to the barrel. Is this sight "glued" on? Will Super Glue work, or is there something better (JB Weld?)? Thanks in advance.

  It was originally soldered to the barrel (silver solder).
  
  Super glue might work as a temporary fix.

  Low temp silver solder with proper flux. Make sure bonding surfaces are clean and tinned, maybe bubba already used glue.

  Soldering's the only way to go.. Check with a gunsmith, or even a jeweler, please..

  I knocked one off of an identical gun while drifting out the front sight. The fix was low-temp solder, which did not affect the bluing. The surfaces must be properly prepared.
  
  Some older 94's have a ramp that is integral with the barrel, which was a more expensive way of making a barrel, but which was the ultimate in durability.

  I've used JBWeld as a "temporary" fix with some success. The front sight on my black powder deer rifle has been hanging on through more seasons than I can recall. That said, I've also lost sights that "flew south" under recoil and were never seen again. Have to cast my vote with low temp solder.
