most accurate 9mm?
ok guys i am looking for a 9mm. what is the most accurate pistol under $700. it can be new or used, steel or poly. most important is accuracy. just so you know i already have a sig p226 and a p6. thanks

I would bet on the SIG or CZ75 0 -
I agree with llama. Those are probably the top two in that price range. If you already have a SIG you're probably not going to do much better than that for under $700 with an out of the box gun.
I'd add that I've shot both extensively and in my experience the CZ75 is just as accurate as the SIG.
As an alternative choice, 1911s in 9mm generally aren't all that popular and for that reason, sometimes you can find good deals on them. Its possible you could find one in your price range, then do all the usual tricks to accurize it into something match-worthy.
Edit: Responding to below. EAA Witness is probably most accurate 9mm under $400! I can't speak to the "match" version of same (which probably *IS* very good, and wouldn't surprise me if better than the CZs), but the stock ones I've tried aren't quite as good trigger wise as the (much more expensive) Czech guns.
Incidentally, if you're really after pure accuracy, the most accurate "9mm" pistol under $700 is probably a Smith and Wesson .38 special target revolver, though obviously that isn't exactly what you had in mind!0 -
I have to agree as well with the CZ & the Sig. I also wouldn't rule out the EAA Witness which is almost a CZ 75 clone and they have a Match version with an unbelievably smooth trigger priced under $600. 0 -
I had a EAA Witness Sport from the custom shop that out shot a Browning HP that had a Bar-Sto barrel. Next to those is my Sig 226. 0 -
I have a Glock 34 and with the right ammo it is very accurate. 0 -

Out of the box they could group an entire magazine under 2 in. at 50 yds.
To this day no other standard production 9mm Para pistol even comes close.0 -

This is true, but that busts the original posters budget.
If you can tell me where to find SIG P210s for $700 or less, I'll buy 100 of them *AND* mail you one as a "finder's fee"!
Good luck finding ANY P210 (even badly worn Danish military ones) for under $2000 USD. $2500 is a more typical asking price for used ones, and ones in great shape can fetch over $3000.
Single stack factory heel release MAGS run over $100 each (if you can even find one)!
Even the new "Legend" guns still run over $2000 each, and its debatable if these are really as good as the older all hand-fitted ones.0 -
Most accurate, for what purpose? Competition? Target? Self defense? Hunting? Each type has a different level of accuracy that can be acceptable.
Kind of like cars. I want the fastest car. For rally, quarter miles, endurance, off-road?
If for competition, which discipline? IDPA? IPSC? Bullseye? Silhouette?
Depending on the purpose, you may event want to consider another caliber.
Also there are/were some revolvers that might be including depending on the answers to the above questions.
