Ruger 9 picatinny mount options
Anyone mount a picatinny rail on a Ruger P series with any success?
Living in the peoples repulic of NJ the rational choice would be to sell existing and upgrade to a newer model with the rail factory mounted.
The reality of living in NJ with over 1 year waiting and fees involved all reality choice become dreams.
So the option under a police state is to either bond or fasten in some way a rail and then have other options.
Any suggestions appreciated? Thanks!

Of course any competent gunsmith or machinist "should" be able to take a chunk of Picatinny rail, cut it, then radius to fit your gun's dust cover with drill and tap.
But I'd start by asking exactly what do you want to mount to your gun? A light or a laser? Because there are ways of doing either (especially a laser) without having a true Picatinny rail.
