VZ58 Qual rail

I was planning to take a vz 58 into a tactical shooting class. But im still trying to find out if anyone here have any experience with an aluminum quad rail that will allow co witness with the iron sights. my main concern is whether it might heat up the optics as i was planning to place an aimpoint on the quad rail on top of the barrel (we will be firing a total of 3500 rounds)..thanks for any input.
