Im looking for a scope to go on my 586.
What power scope is sufficient? I'd be taking deer at up to 100 yards. 2X20 good enough or should I move up?

I picked up a Bausch & Laumb pistol scope in a trade and was thinking about putting it on my .221 fireball. any one have an opinion as to quality and value of these scopes? 0 -

The B&L might be good for a light recoiling handgun, but I run into problems with them on a 35 Remington, and 350 Remington Mag. With the exception of my 41 Magnum RedHawk,which wears a Leupold 2.5-8x, the rest that are scoped are all Burris. The 41 Mag...I needed a scope in a hurry, and the Leupy was the first one I could get my hands on...otherwise it would have been a Burris too.

I have used B&L Elite scopes (both fixed and 2x6 variables) on numerous handguns (up to FA 454) without issue. They are no longer available -- but the Bushnell Elite (maybe mostly just a name change) 2x6 is my first choice in a variable handgun scope. 0
