MOSSBERG 500 FOREARM
I bought a blackhawk forearm for my moosberg 500 but I can not get the retainer nut to screw on . It seems to be a little longer . Any ideas!

Mossberg has made several different length slide tubes. Apparently the forend you got is not the right one for your slide tube.
There used to be an adapter nut to make the longer forends fit the shorter tubes. I don't know if anybody still makes one.

I got a Surefire at a auction for a 500 . I had to get a short slide tube for it to work with the bayonet lug on my 590. Then had to shorten the rear to get the nut on the tube. It took some work I have a light on it fo about a third of the price of a new one [^] 0 -
You bought a 7 5/8 forearm and you have a 6 1/2 slide tube. So you either buy a 7 5/8 or get a forearm that fits the 6 1/2. 0 -
