Marlin no. 2 pump .22?
I have came across an old marlin .22 pump for sale locally. It looks just like a marlin no. 20. But this gun has "marlin no. 2" on the upper tang. I can only find information on the no. 20 and 20a.
The model stamp has not been modified. It is original and says "no. 2"
Experts please shed some light on this.

Looked in three books, Blue Book of Gun Values, Standard Catalog of Firearms and Official Price Guide to Antique and Modern Firearms and there is no listing for a Marlin No. 2 pump action .22 caliber rifle. The first one listed is the Model 18 and after that the Model 20. You might ask Marlin.
