"DAYLIGHT" brand scope?

Have any of you ever seen a Japanese made rifle scope simply labeled "DAYLIGHT" on the eyepiece. It looks to be 20-30 years old and is a 3-9 variable. the optics are very clear and the power ring works smoothly. Any information is appreciated.
