20 Gauge inserts for a 16 Gauge O/U?
Does anyone know of a company that makes 20 gauge inserts for a 16 gauge over/under shotgun?

CS8161,
The majority are designed for 12 ga. original barrels but there's always a chance.
Hopefully you've already called but I would check with Briley as they are one of the top leaders in shotgun tubes:

OK ,
Or , you could find a buddy with a machine shop ( a lathe ) and have him make you some ?
I used to make plenty of "parts" back when I had access to a 'machine shop' ! and or ,
we have also 'contracted' the local trade school to make us "parts" ???
Just a Thought !

The 16 GA. to 20 Ga. will be tricky this seems to make for very thin walled insert tubes. 12 Ga shotguns are normally used for tubes the difference in bore diameter between 12Ga and 20 Ga is .729-.615 for .114 difference . This would al over .050 wall thickness with a 16Ga the wall thickness would be .662-.615 for just about .020 wall thickness if you left room to remove the tubes . I would suggest Permanent sleeves rather then Tubes. Look in double gun journal there are a number of people that sleeve Damacus as well as fluid steel shot gun barrels. 0 -
If you want chamber inserts, try gauge mates.stainless
If you want a review just ask here. And yes you can use in 2 1/2 in 16 ga with a 2 3/4 in 20 ga shell.0 -
Look over at fleabay. Search "adapter" in hunting. There's one for 16 to 410 for $19.
The guy occassionally puts other other 16 gauge adapters up for auction.0 -
