Browning HP question.

I can't tell if this has been refinished or not. Could this possibly be the original finish?

I might be wrong, but it don't look right to me. Supposedly a bunch of knock-offs were made in Hungary in the 80's, for sale in various 3rd world countries. Might be one of them?

Edit #1, FN was very particular about following the Belgium laws regarding Proof Marks. Usually there will be at least one on the left side of the frame, above the trigger.

It looks like it was parkerized. Also the mag safety has been taken out. The picture of the trigger shows the pin gone. And the serial number he listed doesn't make sence.

The stamp on that is odd. I would guess reparkerized as well.

Could it be one of the arsenal refinished Israeli P-35s? There have been several ads for these recently in Shotgun.
