overall length of a 788

I am looking at a 788 to buy but the seller cannot tell me if it has a 18 or 22 in barrel... he said the overall length is 41in help me if possible

  Quick & dirty measurements of the first two that came to hand:
  
  .308 w/22" barrel = 41 1/2".
  .222 w/24" barrel = 43 3/8".
