How is the recoil with this small grip firing a 38 spl. round?

Hard to hold, tend to pivot in your hand. But as their meant to be a up close and personal self defense handgun, don't hardly make any difference. If you need more then 2 shots, your in deep dodo though.
EDIT #1, For up close and personal self defense I would go with the largest cartridge available. You only got two shots to make a negative impression. .38 Special would be way more effective than .25 ACP, IMHO.0 -
They come in 25, 32, and 380 also. Any recommendations?

You might try placing thumb from other hand between backstrap/frame and the shooting hand, makes small grip easier to hold. 0 -

they are good guns, but a word of advice, DO NOT dry fire them without the safety on! dry firing will break the firing pins! the pins are made out of something similar to die cast. 0
