ID on Marbles Pieces/Parts

I don't even know how to describe these, my Google searches have turned up nothing, as I don't know where to start.









One marked '222' on the end and the other marked '30 Gov'.

  They appear to be broken shell extractors to me. In case of a head separation they are used to get the forward section of the brass cartridge case out of the chamber.
  
  EDIT #1, You might check fleabay to reference the various different broken shell extractors. Years back when balloon head brass was still in common use, is when they were required. Nowadays if you have a complete case head separation with modern solid head brass, getting the forward part of the cartridge case out of the chamber would probably be the least of your problems.

  Thank you. With that information, Google confirmed.
  
  In 25 years of shooting, I have never stuck a case in a chamber and needed one of these.

  Found it at in the search I used above.
  
  "Model 1882 shell extractor......
  
  The second style extractor used with the Trapdoor Springfield rifle and carbine. For removing a cartridge case that is stuck in the chamber."
  
  Searching out this small stuff is a PITA.
