Best Moultrie Game Camera
Help me out here............... What is the best Moultrie Game Camera?
I have used about six of the D-50 Moultrie and some worked good but the last couple were real lemons. Because they really eat up the "D" batteries, I picked up two of the Moultrie Power Pads,(12v solar charger), so this is why I would like to stay w/Moultrie.

I use a Moultree MFH-DGS-D55IR to watch a job site. 6 C cell batteries were still at 44% after 7 months. Photos are clear on a low setting. The Infrared flash only extends 25 feet. The minimum delay between triggering & photo taking is 15 seconds, which misses animals walking close-by. The real problem is with the lack of Moultree customer service. It took them 3 months to respond to an email and never answered the question. 0 -

Can you tell me if your D55 has an outside power source plug fo rthe power pak?

I am with the toolman. I have 5 of the D55-IR's, and have yet to run them out of batteries, and they have always worked. Just to let you know, those small Bushnell's that take 8 AA batteries, have great battery life, but they fog up in incliment weather, and only last about 1 season, and two if you are lucky. I am getting 4 more of the D55-IR's this year.

Paul, I found the manual & it mentions a "power port panel" that accepts the "Moultree Power Panel" ONLY. I wouldn't worry about this as in 7 months on a job site, mine recorded well over 2000 photos on the same batteries. 0 -
I have a Moultrie Game Spy M-80 and love it. Day and night pics are great with lots of different settings you can use, including video. Uses 8 AA batteries...those have lasted me about four months on the one I have set up on our farm. Pop in an SD card and your ready to go. Cost was around $139 on sale...I think they typically run about $159. 0
