1 in 1,000 Winchester Mod.70
I have a friend who has for sale a Mod.70 270 cal feather weight ultra grade which has 1 in 1,000 stamped on it. He bought it new and has never used it. It is mint. I cannot find info on the rifle and I along with him do not know much about it or it's worth. All I can tell you it is beautiful. Gold inlaid and excellent finished wood. Can somebody out there give me any info. on this beautiful rifle. I am interested in buying it.

also my book states for "super grade" that they REQUIRE documentation and with varified documentation they will command a 4x-5x price over standard featherweight models whcich is $1775 for standard featherwieght .270. But book i have makes no mention of a ultra grade0 -
Here's another that didn't sell at the starting price of $2,500, & it has the original box & documents.
How low does the price have to drop before someone buys it? No way to know, but we aren't there yet.
Has your friend told you how much he wants for the rifle?

Didn't they stamp 1 in 1,000 for really good barrels? Maybe that's how they got "ultra" grade? 0 -

They(USRAC) were trying to make a spinn off of the 1 of 1000, Winchester 1873', and 1876's. USRAC's firearms, will never be the same as a real Winchester, even if it does have winchester's log stamped on it, under license.
If it is indeed USRAC made, not over $1200.00 or so.
