did taurus ever make a 44mag with a 9.375" barrel ? one for sale on broker . if so what year made

  Standard long barrel length is 8-3/8" and I know for sure Taurus has put out any number of .44 magnums with that barrel length. Could you be dealing with a simple typo?
  
  Ruger Redhawk is available in a 9.5" bbl, and I guess its possible that Taurus had a 9.5" bbl gun out too at one point, though I've never seen one.
  
  Anyway, without more info on the gun in question (serial and model) it would be tough to determine the year of manufacture. Why don't you contact the seller, or at least post the auction number here for the experts to see it?
