H&K MR 556A1 with fixed magazine??
I live in the communist state of CA. I saw a H&K MR 556A1 that was CA compliant...fixed magazine which required a tool to release. Who converts the H&K MR 556A1 to a fixed mangazine since I don't think H$K ships them that way.

Can anyone help? 0 -
If none of our folks can help you you might consider posting to some of the H & K specific forums on the net. I believe there are least a couple of them. 0 -
I guess the HK dudes took a page from the CA compliant AR guys [:D]. If it's at a shop and the "fix" can be undone (after leaving California to be legal) buy it.
*As for who. Maybe HK? After bailing out Greece and that Arms thing Germany needs the cash? So they're hitting up the good citizens to make some cash for the system.0 -
The "conversion" is very simple.. Before shipping to your dealer, the seller/vendor replaces the factory magazine catch with a "Bullet Button", like this..

The original release can be shipped, just don't re-install it while here in Kali.. This style is the most common, and was factory installed on my M4 Colt Carbine 6920ca..
It would be best to check first with your receiving FFl.. Follow his advice, since he's responsible for compliance with the law..
Should add this.. The seller cannot ship magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds..0
