Does it have any proof marks [?] Looks to be European and they all have proof marks. if U.S. made then it most likely will not have proof marks. Also are the Threads metric or US [?]I have a number of books on single shots but this one does not look exactly like any of the vintage US made popular brands. Any makers marks at all [?]
EditIf you look at the pictures on Mr YOST the triggers look very close but the sides of the action is very different + the action you have has an upper and lower tang .NOT a squared off rear like the pictures .There are many custom builders and see if you can find a copy of Double Gun Journal and Single Shot Exchange they have a big following on single shot rifles . I would really check to see if metric screws on the action itself and then see what the trigger assem. has if both U.S. or both are metric then you will at least know what half of the world it came from . If half & half then you know it is custom made. either way in the right market it will sell "most likely for fairly big $$$"" to the single shot custom gun smiths. Of course it will need a custom Barrel as well as butt-stock & forearm. Looks somewhat like the COLT single-shot sold for a short time in the last 50 years but that single shot had a ball bearing trigger if I remember correctly.0 -

I'm guessing it's a commercial German/Austrian martini style single shot.
Whatever it is, it would make a nice Hornet varminter.0 -
Frank DeHaas showed a similar action in Single Shot Rifles.
But even he could not identify it as to maker. Just another nicely made European item from a no doubt defunct shop.0
