para carry 9

i really like the LDA trigger and quality of my full size para 9mm and am thinking of buying a carry 9 para as a CCW.
i would like to hear comments on the para carry 9mm.
i have not seen one up close.my book has it at 6.5x4.75 overall size.
can someone tell me what the width is?
i planned on getting a ruger sr9c until i saw one up close.it is kind of wide.

    Rent one or find someway to try it before you buy it as the trigger is very light for ccw in my opinion. I liked it on the range but I just don't know about ccw.[?]

    I agreee with toobig, the thought process seems sound, but my Para LDA is very light on the trigger. I would have some reseverations about carring that light of a pull. Just judging this off my .45 LDA. Maybe the para carry 9 is more suited, try one out.

    How is the 6lb LDA trigger any less safe for carry than the stock 5-6lb single action trigger on any ordinary 1911?

    How is it any less safe than the stock 6lb Glock trigger? At least the LDA has an external safety.

    Anyway, I've never tried the LDA para carry 9mm, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't up to the rest of Para's standards, and if you like the full sized gun, I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't like the smaller one.

    You should try one if you can, before you buy one. A lot of the 3-3 1/2" 1911 style guns have functioning problems. I can't imagine that chambering for the lighter recoil 9mm round would make these problems any better.

    If you like the LDA trigger, go for one.
    I took my CCW class with my 745LDA with no problems. Also carry it at times.
    The only problem I see right now is, Para doesn't show any 9mm handguns on the web site. You need to find a good used one or NOS [;)] There are seven on the auction side.
