Winchester model 94 Tangs
Is anyone an expert on pre 64 Winchester tangs? I have tried to order 3 different butt stocks & haven't received the right one yet. It appears if you say pre 64, there are several, if you say SRC there are several, flat band has a couple, commerative is different times 50 probaly, cresent butt has several, shotgun butt has several. How does one know what to order? Howsand

Offhand there are about 7 different styles of stocks. Not counting the pistol grip styles. Try to get the book The Winchester Model 94-The First 100 Years. compiled by Robert C. Renneberg.
You'll then have serial number ranges to go with stock styles.

The book mentioned is out of print, and Bob (Robert) wrote and published a revised 2nd edition to it that is titled - WINCHESTER MODEL 94 A Century Of Craftsmanship 0 -
