Noticed my single bbl trap gun and a Superior grade field gun both have a "Mum" engraved in the opening lever pivot.
Have not looked at a Citori yet, but has anyone else noticed it?

I remember reading a story about MacArthur's people walking into the front office (which was all that was left) of the Kawasaki plant, and saying 'No more fighters. Build motorcycles, or something'.

They never lost their sense of humor.
Back in the '70's, the U.S. had a bounty of a million dollars on any of the latest Soviet fighters that a defecting pilot would deliver. One Russian did, and landed his fighter in Japan. The Japanese dismantled it down to the last screw and blueprinted everything. Japanese model-makers had detailed kits of the thing on the market within two weeks. The Russians were furious.
The Russian demanded that the airplane be returned, which the Japanese did. But it was in crates, because they never reassembled it.
The Russians sent the Japanese a bill for reassembly fees.
The Japanese responded by sending a bill to the Russians in that exact amount, for landing fees.[:D][:p]0 -
After landing that fighter in Japan we (USA) were shocked to discover it was "rusting"...really! That pilot became the left seat on a commercial 747 ! 0
