First thing I would contact customer service at Browning. If they can't give you any specific figures ask their advice regarding any collectors organizations or reference books that have been written about Browning firearms.

Browning CS and Historian was worthless. Was on hold for 12 minutes to have historian tell me BBR was made too long ago and no records were kept, and he had no clue who would have the info for me.

Do a GOOGLE search for "Browning Collectors Association". Multiple hits show up using this search term.

BCA requires that I pay a fee to join, ask a question and then wait for answer to be published in monthly newsletter.

I did talk to a guy who has a Browning COllectors book, says .243 was only made for one year, but no mention of how many made, standard or in varmint
