Not for M-14. The vertical and horiz. tongues would have
definately been included in the 'total lockup scenario'
if the mount were meant for such a rifle..especially such
a mount meant to be mounted on the left side of a rifle's receiver.

Sorry, but all I can do is eliminate, not establish any
    positive reinforcement.

Perhaps a non G&H mount for the Garand? Do you have a
Garand M1? See if placement of the sideplate will clear
the clip release assembly. Shot in the dark. Oy Vey! Joe

Hi, Thanks for your response. I probably need to take a couple more pictures at an angle. This does have the vertical and horizontal pieces. The base that the rings are mounted on is the horizontal piece. The piece below that is a separate piece. If you look at the bottom picture the rear of the base is beveled and this mates with the same angle where the stripper clip adapter is attached. I'll try to get some better pictures up tonight that show the offset correctly.quote:Originally posted by givette

Maynard Buehler usually stamped a number on his stock bases & mounts; without that, it's unidentifiable.

But, Joe is right, it is not for a M14-clone. (You do not want to d&t an M14-clone, as there are many no-drill mounts available.) And, it's not for a G&H mount for an M1C, as it lacks the 2 positioning nubs.
