I hunt a couple of places that are shot restricted and use BP's ITX.

The #6's pattern nearly as well as the nickle plated 7 1/2"s I normally shoot. Also seems to be just as effective on birds.

I did notice on the pattern board, I haven't had any fractured/fragmented pellets like I did with bismuth.

Any thoughts on this relative to waterfowl hunting?

Looks like Bismuth, Classic Doubles and Tungsten Matrix shot are no longer available. If that is the case, what is the best alternative to steel for use in older SxS guns?

    Lead shot works great. [:D]

    Doesn't work. Too soft.

I can't offer much. My limited water-fowling consists of puddle jumping teal. Typically 35yds or less w/Mod choke.

Heavi-Shot is out there, but there is some indication the irregularity of the shot makes for poor patterns.
