WINCHESTER 255 QUESTION

I have a Winchester model 255 magnum and the bottom of the lettering is red. Is that the way they came from the factory? It looks to good to have been done by an amateur. Also I would rate this gun at least 90 percent only because of a couple of small dings. What is it worth.

  Mine has a light gold coloring in the lettering. I'd say around $225. Theres one up for auction @ $135, but its rough.

  Mine is new in box compared to that one!! However mine does not have the checkered stock and forearm.

  Rosie I have bought and sold some of the 155 and 255, They were cheap K-mart specials from the 70's/80's, no collector value and not much resale for some reason. the 22 magnum is an easier sell and should go for $60-75 more, around here the 22 lr would be $150-200 and the 22 mag $200-250, though good shooters not much of a following, sorry.
