Burris Fastfire scope on .45 ACP
Tried this on Competition side, no luck, so now to Experts.
Burris Fastfire scope, any actual experience on the slide on a hi power pistol like the .45ACP? I have tried two other brands (3-5 rounds and then the glass came off)with poor results, thinking of trying the Burris.
I cannot fit a standard Ultra Dot on this gun (not for Bullseye competition).
Any input would be appreciated.

No, I have one on a model 94 trapper in .45 Colt and it is a hoot, but whether it will hold up on a semi-auto slide I cannot say. 0 -
There is a very small Aimpoint as well as a DOCTOR brand red dot that is very small and very light that will hold up and mounts on the rear sight cutout. I also have a MILLIETT Zome that might work for you as well as different grip mounts for mounting both red dots as well as Leupold long eye relief scope double click my user name 0 -
I have a couple of Fastfire sights mounted on revolvers. I also have J Point dot sights on other revolvers. I personally prefer the J Point to the Burris. However, I have no experience with either on a semiauto. 0
