Remington 700 age and model
Have found a remington 700 in a 6mm caliber. The gun is a hinged floor plate and has a monte carlo stock. The serial is 204600 and has a side barrel code of 9DV. It is topped with a weaver K12-60 02 scope. The gun has typical scratches to the wood and also has wear to the muzzle and scratches to the sight hood. Asking firm price is 500. Seems a bit hight to me. Any info on age and model would be welcome. Thanks

The best I can come up with is September of 1979.
D= Sept or 9th mo. and V= 1979 Remington 700 BDL, hinged floor plate and black fortip and grip cap.

Any opinions on the price as described? 0 -
The asking price is what one often sees on a Model 700 BDL with vintage scope. $450 would be reasonable also, but the seller will probably get his $500 without waiting too long. The 6mm caliber brings a slight premium over one in 30-06. 0 -
Got it for 400.00. The weaver scope is much longer than others I have seen before. Thanks for the info. 0 -
