what is this pistol?

seems to be a eig model e8 made in germany 8 shot 22 lr. 4" barrell
white plasic grips with hs on them. just curious about it

not my pistol. but i believe its belgian in 12mm shotgun configuration being its a smoothe bore.

Typical European configuration with folding trigger and manual safety. If it doesn't have any manufacturers or proof markings, it's probably Spanish made rather then Belgian. Spain didn't require proofing until the mid 20's.

Most of this type of inexpensive European revolver are found in the smaller centerfire calibers. It's always possible though some were made in smoothbore in Spain. The most common smoothbore cartridge it likely would be chambered for would be the 9mm Flobert rimfire. Generally the Europeans didn't chamber this type of revolver for the larger cartridges unless they were destined for export to England/British Colonies or the States.
