10/22 Trigger job
I am looking for a GOOD Trigger job on a RUGER 10/22

Instead of looking for a trigger job, look for a different trigger. There are hoards of them out there, and I tried the Timney, which uses the factory trigger housing, but otherwise is a drop in, and is adjustable. While it does not stack up to a JARD, it is very usable for my application.

Power custom drop in trigger kit will give you a 3.0lb crisp trigger with aftertravel adjustment for about $75. You install it yourself in under an hour. (Took me about 1/2 hour and I never opened up the trigger of a 10/22 before).
No, its not a $300 Volquartsen or Kidd drop in match grade trigger pack, but in terms of bang for the buck, I don't think you're going to do better than this.0 -
I'd go the "resonable" price kit if you're not going balls out. If you're goofy like me by buying a stainless reciever from M.O.A. Which cost about $260 where you could've had a whole gun and loads of ammo. Then go the KIDD or Volquartsen trigger assembly.
I got the KIDD two stage trigger set at 40/40 ounces. Think double action trigger but being only 40 ounces and another 40 ounces to touch the round off. It basically feels like a long trigger pull. If you're used to something like a Mini-14 where the trigger will fight you it's an odd feeling.0 -
Google search CPC 10/22 tune up. The guy is good. 0 -
Real easy to drill the trigger for an overtravel screw and shorten the right springs a tad and have a real nice trigger for most purposes with the possible exception of rock solid bench accuracy.
I did that to a vintage 10/22 I owned until recently. The trigger broke at a hair under 2 pounds, if I recall correctly, and it liked to plunck 5 W-W Power Points in under an inch at 100 yards on a calm day.
After that I forgot about all the money I could be spending on "after markets" and just bought more ammo.0 -
I did mine with a Voltquartsen hammer replacement. Consiserable improvment noted. Went from 8 to 2 3/4 lbs. approx. 35 bucks delivered as I recall. Installation was a snap.[:D] 0
