  Model 61, 22793 = March 1937
  
  Model 94, 1815486 = 1951 (mid-year).
  
  What caliber is your Model 94?

  Bert, thanks for the reply, you are tops. The 94 is 30-30, acquired from uncle's estate about 1967 for $50, is a really good shooter. The 61 was my 1st firearm, got in 2nd-hand store in 1957 for $27.50.
