I posted a response to some CCW questions yesterday. Well... last night in a town near here the following happened.
Burglar at 3am is checking homes for an open/unlocked door. footprints in the snow show that he had checked 20 other homes. Goes in house, eats food from fridge, he changes into clean clothes the wife of house had done the day before that were on the couch. He goes upstairs to the bedroom wakes the couple and demands money. Husband wakes, reaches on night stand, picks up handgun fires one shot. Bad guy dead where he stood. Single shot did not wake the three small sleeping children in the home.
Dad did what he needed to do to protect family... good for him. However the three things I listed yesterday are sure to happen to this dad.
