Value & year Win 70 barreled action & ...

I have a Winchester 70 complete barreled action in original box that has never been fired or on a stock. It is in 308 LA with stripper clip notches in it. Number on it is G1380923 and was told it was made in 1978 for National Match Shooters who were active military. It has full bull barrel, target crown, the push feed system, adjustable trigger, no sightes, drilled/tapped for scope as well as drilled/tapped for iron sights, and the 2 piece floor plate. I have had it for a good 5-7 years. A widow lady sold it and a 30-06 one from her late husband's estate (he was ex-military and match shooter), I had a chance to buy both but bought the 308 only. What do I have and a rough value being it is still in the box, unfired, as new, and never stocked? Also any ideas as to where to get a stock for it? Was it made for the military or was it something anyone could order from Winchester? I know pictures would help but like I said, 308, LA, model 70, stripper clip notch, Target crown, adjustable trigger, and still new in the original box so I doubt pictures would help much if any.

Any ideas as to where to find a stock for it as well?

Also I appreciate ANY and ALL input/ideas/opinions on it.

  While your barreled receiver may have been made for some active service member they were available to anyone. The 1978 Gun Digest described a Winchester 70 International Army Match Rifle with a heavy contour barrel. I think that is probably what you have, less the stock of course. I don't know what the value would be as the.223 now rules the ranges for National Match Course competition and .308 Cal is at least out of fashion. The stripper clip notches indicate it was designed for use in the the NMC which includes two stages of rapid fire that require reloading during the string.
