Gerard scope ?

Any one have any info on a Gerard scope, Recently got a Savage 23D(22 Hornet) with one on it. It has 3 heavy crosshairs with the vertical one coming to a point. Front ring is on bell very near the end of the scope. No windage adjustment just elevation. Any info appreciated.

  All I can find is that Gerard was an old line German brand of scope (Which was already pretty obvious from the description.) made from about 1911 up into the 1940s.
  
  I would think it likely to be post war loot, brought home and put on a varmint rifle.
