Hornady Leverevelution
I have several boxes of this ammo. in 45-70, and am considering using it for a spring bear in Oregon. I will be using an electronic call, so I expect the yardage will be under 100 yds. I'm just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with this bullet, in any caliber. Opinions please. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

Should be fine for bears. 0 -
AS ABOVE, GREAT AMMO 0 -
My lever evolutions out of a 35 Rem have been excellent on deer. I beleve you will be just fine on a bear with your 45-70. 0 -
Hornady's Leverevelution ammunition is the best thing that happened to any modern lever action rifle. 0 -
I have used LE ammo in 30-30 on about a dozen deer...very accurate and lethal...good penetration and expansion. Somewhat more expensive than normal (Remington, Winchester etc..) ammunition, but in guns that shoot it well, the LE ammo is faster and extends the useful range of your lever gun. 0 -

+1 I have used it in Winchester and Marlins. Never checked the BC on any Hornady data, but it should be greater than flat nose.0 -
i have been shooting it in my 45/70 14" TC . 325 grain . separates the men from the boys . but, gets the job done. 0 -
I like the .45-70, .35 Rem and .30-30 factory rounds. They work as well as advertised! I just bought some FTX bullets for .44 Mag and .45 Colt I still need to load, hopefuully this good streak will continue. . 0
