mauser detachable magazine
Does anyone on here remember several years ago a detachable magazine/floorplate assembly that you could replace the standard mauser 98 with? And if they are still around do they work? I was thinking of getting one but havn't seen them in awhile. Thanks

If you're talking about the 20 round trench mag reproductions, yes, they're still around. They do work on the 98. 0 -
I have 3 or 4 of those commercial ones in the parts bin. They reduce the mag to 3 rounds and are single stack feed. Most require some level of fitting of the release "tab".

Ok thanks for the info.. I cant see going from a 5 rd blind mag to a 3 rd detachable...kinda defeats my purpose. 0 -
I have seen them for sale from time to time in Shotgun News....might want to check there. 0 -
