1891 Argentine Mauser Carbine questions
Just picked up a 1891 Argentine Mauser (carbine). C series serial number (DWM) so I assume that it was made in 1899 from what I found on the net. What is the difference between the Engineers carbine and the regular carbine? Bayonet attachment maybe? and the saddle bar is missing from behind the trigger guard. Are they the same ones that were used on the left side of the stock? Liberty Tree has them in stock (along with other parts) and I don't want to order the wrong stuff.

Loewe is pre 1899, DWM post 1899.

Engineers Carbine had the ring on the side, Cavalry Carbine on the bottom.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm about 99.3% sure they are the same.[:)]0 -
One less barrel band as well, on the cavalry model. 0
