Once again, another Winchester, this time a Model 12, and yes, it's from the same guy. lol The Serial # on this bad boy is 3747XX. It's pretty rough, not sure how good you can see in the pictures, but the bluing is almost gone, and does have some pitting that's just starting all over the gun. I think this one was made in 1923. Again, if I could get an overall condition and possible value would be great. I owe you guys a good micro-brew if any of you fine folks are ever in Chilton,WI!

Check the completed auctions on GB, for a handle on value. M 12's were made in great quantity, for 50+ years. Lot turn up on the auctions.
Condition wise, it's a under the truck seat beater. I sure wouldn't be giving big bucks for it, and than only if it's tight and functional. Considering that the Chinese imports are selling new for less than $200.

The Chinese shotguns I was referring to, were 870 knock-offs. Had a recent topic. Noting they were being sold for less than $200.0 -

Looks like about a 200.00 gun., IMHO,I"d buy that and clean it up before i'd buy a chinese knock off,so it's till worth as much as one of those to me. 0 -

Somewhat of a change in the topic: But have there been Chinese clones of the Model 12? I know of the '97 clones, but wasn't aware of any Model 12 clones.
Though I've never owned (or even handled) one of the '97 clones, from my reading, the quality just isn't there. It may be an acceptable "substitute" for some, but I'm not sure it will really be affecting the market prices for original Winchester '97s significantly.0 -
Norinco makes clones of the Model 1887, 1893, and 1897. I have never seen (or heard) a Model 12 clone.
I am with Mort... I would pay $200 for an old Model 12 9or Model 1897) long before buying a Chinese made clone.0
