32 SW long and short

Am I correct in that you can shoot a 32 SW short in a revolver that is marked 32 SW long? Thanks for any info.

  32 S&W ammo may be fired safely in a 32 S&W Long chamber.

  Yes. I think technically there is a 32 S&W and a 32 S&W Long. Be sure and clean the chambers after shooting the (shorter) ones and switching to the Long to keep extraction easy.

  There IS a .32 S&W. It is shorter than a .32 S&W Long but that does not make it a .32 S&W Short.
  
  Yes, it will work just fine in a .32 S&W L. revolver. Not a .32 S&W Long auto.
