Stevens 311 With external hammers
Any idea what year Stevens made the rabbit ear 311?

Don't know when they where started, but, according the 34th edition of the Blue Book, they where discontinued in 1989.

Personally, I have never seen a 311 with external hammers. 0 -
Are you sure that it is a 311? That model came out in around 1930 and along with the 315, so far as I know, have always been hammerless.

No 311 had hammers. 235 and several other earlier hammer guns were made. 0 -

Well I looked at it yesterday and YES it did have rabbit ears and clearly said Stevens 311 on the old slightly rusted receiver. No proof marks on barrel.0 -
The Stevens 311's all had internal hammers. The 235 has external hammers. 0 -

Negatory all 311 had internal hammers. It was at a flea market laying on a table. Positively a 311 Stevens and old. No clue they made them. 0
