Springfield XDM 9mm mag interchange

My SIL wants a higher cap mag for his XDM compact 9mm. If my info is correct, the standard compact mag holds 13. Does the 19 shot full sized mag also fit? CDNN shows a 16 round with a spacer to fit what they call "sub compact" pistols.
Suggestions?

  I believe the full size mag will fit and function perfectly in the subcompact.
