Factory rifles in .284 caliber?

I only know of one manufacture of off the bench ...Winchester model 100. Any others make rifle in this caliber?

    I believe there were a few Model 70 Winchesters. I have a Browning A-bolt in .284. The Savage 99 and the Browning lever-action (I can't remember the model #) I think were also so chambered. You are right, the cartridge was intended to fit in the 88 & 100.

    EDIT: I almost forgot: Ruger made some 77's, early on, in .284.

    Thanks for fast reply. Some how I ended up with 8 boxes of old .284 hunting ammo. Must be 40 yrs. old.

    It's worth at least $25.00 a box...

    Ruger also made a later run of 284's. The ones I have seen have a 772 prefix to the serial number, if I remember correctly.

    MRBRUCE; Most of it is Winchester and Western 150 grain with 1 or 2 boxes of 125 Grain.
    I'd be happy to take that for it.[:)]

    My Browning lever action .284 is a Model 81 with a steel receiver. It's one beautiful and great shooting gun.

    My 284 is a winchester model 88, looks almost identical to the 100 but has a lever.
