    I have never fooled around with any of the solid alloy bullets, because of their cost. It's doubtful to me that a Barnes 62 grain monolithic bullet. Would be accurate in a 1 in 12 twist barrel because of their overall length, rather then weight. This is just my WAG, as I have never used them.

    I cannot say for sure whether it is Nosler or Barnes, but one of them puts a notice on their bullet boxes (in this weight range)stating that a 1-10" twist is required to stabilize.
    I know from experience (now) that the Nosler 60 gr partition will NOT stabilize in a factory 22-250 barrel

    NO, it needs at least a 1 in 9, no matter what speed you push it. It is a heck of a deer bullet, for sure, from experience in a hot rodded AR-15.

    Don't sell yourself short...go with a 1 in 8...they also make a 70 grainer. Plus you should be able to use the 80 grainer's of conventional design.

    My old Rem 700 with 1/12 twist will barely stabilize the Speer 63 grain semipointed. I'd say accuracy may not be cloverleafs.

    As I recall it says you need a 1-10 or 1-9 twist right on the side of the box.

    None of my 1-12 twist .223 rifles will stabilize the 62+ gr bullets, I think the same will happen with your .22-250

    As reported above, the 1:12" twist will generally not stabilize the Barnes 62 gr. TSX bullet.

    The monolithic solid bullets are longer than the cup/core lead jacketed bullets when compared by weight. This is the indicator that you will want to tighten or speed up the twist rate when using these bullets.

    We can create a situation where stability will occur but it requires excessive velocity and the commensurate high pressure to achieve. It is usually not within the scale of general operating pressures so I can't recommend it.
