I've seen pics of a Contender (or maybe it was an encore...) barrel in 17WSM made by MGM 0 -

That is a 17 HMR, not the new Winchester round that hits 3000 fps.

don't know for sure but my B model is a fine shooter, 1 1/4 inch at 100 yds with a 3-9 redfield revenge 0 -
Thanks Tim, I wanted one for quite awhile and got mixed up on my letters after the 17 part[B)]

I did some more thinking and looking and found out I wasn't dreaming:

The biggest problem is that the 17 WSM has a different size case head than 22lr/22wmr and the rounds based on those. On a centerfire, this is no issue, since the primer is in the center. But since it is a rimfire, this changes where the firing pin would hit, which means whole new bolt design is required. 0 -
At this point I suppose I'd go with another T/C barrel. The Savage is ugly as heck. With any luck CZ will be out soon with a 17 WSM. 0 -
Yes I would like to see one from CZ and/or Ruger. Please contact them and ask them to. Currently neither Ruger nor CZ plan to. 0 -
WOW!!!!
That first lo wall has the most beautiful case hardening and the grain on both sides of the butt stock is absolutely incredible!!
