Dent in Savage 720 Shotgun barrel
I recently acquired this Savage Model 720 semi-automatic shotgun on the auction side. It's a licensed copy of the Browning A-5. The seller listed a couple of minor dents in the barrel near the muzzle. I bought it anyway because of its WWII military heritage and amazingly low price.
The dents are roughly 2 and 5 inches from the muzzle. Here are two pictures of the bore:
Do the experts here think these would make much of a difference if I should choose to shoot the gun? Would it be unsafe to shoot?

I doubt that it would hurt to shoot it, however it may not pattern very well. Brownells sells a dent raising mechanism. I would think that a reputable gunsmith would have one of those sets. 0 -
+1 for have a pro fix them. It shouldn't cost too much to ship the barrel off and have it fixed by a specialist if there isn't one local. 0 -
Take the gun to a shotgun specializing gunsmith. He can remove the dents. He should have a dent removing tool or one can be obtained form Brownells. 0 -
yes a Hydraulic dent remover can raise both of those dents 0 -
