Winchester 1893 reciever takedown?
Hi, I have a 12 Ga Winchester 1893 Reciever with the carrier, Bolt, and action Bar still inside of it has anybody taken one of these apart? Thanks for any help. Homer

The steps required to disassemble the Model 1893 are different depending on when it was manufactured (the serial number, and the letter above the serial number if it has one). 0 -

I disagree... all Model 1893 shotguns were made with steel barrels. The most common were the fluid steel barrels, with a fair number of damascus steel barrels made. The fluid steel barrels were standard, and the damascus was a special order option. You are correct that they were all made with a 2-5/8" chamber.0 -
Mine does have damascus barrels. I have shot some old black power 2 5/8 shell thru it. 0
