buckmark question
Looking for a factory case for a 5.5" stainless buckmark with serial # 515MP01554. There are quite a few here on GB but not sure which one is correct. Not sure if it is hard plastic (grey or black) or soft. Also if anyone knows DOM that would be great. Thanks

2008. Far as I know they were still being sold in the gray plastic boxes then. 0 -
As always, great answer! Thanks RS! 0 -
Colt's serial number look up says they have no records for that serial number. Customer Service at its best.
My blushes![:I] You would think I would know that, I own two of them.[B)]0 -

Since the Buckmark is a Browning product I'd be shocked if Colt had records on it...0 -
Maybe I can help redeem my self.
In 1998 Browning redid the standardization of its serial number identifications to work with its new data base program, Oracle.
1. Buck Mark Type 515=All Buck Mark models
2. Date of Manufacture
is a two digit code Z=1
Y=2
X=3
W=4
V=5
T=6
R=7
P=8
N=9
M=0
3. Serial Number
beginning with 01001
at the start of each year.
So 2008 is correct for your pistol.0
